Here Comes Santa Sundae

This Santa Claus Sundae is a quick, easy and festive dessert that can also be a fun art project for your older kids.
Ingredients
  • Ice cream
  • Sugar ice cream cones
  • Red Wilton candy melts
  • Red sprinkles, optional
  • Buttercream frosting, homemade whipped cream or melted white chocolate
  • Red paper cups
  • Black and yellow construction paper
Instructions
Ice Cream Cone Santa Hat
  1. Melt the red candy melts in a tall cup.
  2. Swirl the cone into the melted candy, using a spoon to help coat the entire outside of the cone. {You can hold the cone by the bottom rim because it will be covered by a rim of frosting or whipped cream.}
  3. Tap off the excess chocolate.
  4. Sprinkle the red chocolate with red sprinkles if desired.
  5. Stand the cone on a sheet of waxed paper and let it harden.
  6. Using an icing piping bag, pipe buttercream frosting, whipped cream or melted white chocolate along the bottom rim of the cone and add a poof at the top of the cone.
Santa Claus Cup
  1. Cut a thick strip of black construction paper for Santa's belt and tape it around the center of the cup using double-stick tape.
  2. Tape a yellow belt buckle in the center of the black strip of paper.
Santa Claus Sundae
  1. Fill the cup with ice cream.
  2. Then add one scoop on top that sticks out of the cup .
  3. Top the scoop with the Santa hat ice cream cone.
