Roasting Pumpkin Seeds
Print This Recipe
Scoop out the flesh of a pumpkin(s). Sort out the seeds and place them on a baking sheet. Lightly salt if desired. Bake at 350 degrees, stirring occasionally until golden brown. It will 10-15 minutes for them to cook but you should check on them every 5 minutes or so to ensure that they don’t burn.
I pick out any major chunks of pulp and stringy flesh but I prefer baking them without rinsing them because the orange pumpkin juice juice they are coated in adds a wonderful nutty flavor. Why waste such a perfect natural seasoning!
If you would like, you can rinse the seeds and season them as desired (salt, butter, or other spices).
Eat your pumpkin seeds as a healthy snack or have fun cooking with them (as pictured above, used as a garnish for pumpkin soup).
