Roy’s Chocolate Soufflé

To celebrate Itsy Bitsy Foodies’ 1st Birthday I wanted to make something special: chocolate molten lava cake. I love that though this dessert exudes elegance, it is simple and straightforward to prepare – perfect for special occasions or any long day when you need a decadent pick-me-up.

Let It Snow! Cupcakes

I recently had the opportunity to create a cupcake display for the 20th Annual Festival of Trees gala event in Port Angeles, Washington, a fundraiser benefiting Olympic Medical Center. The theme of the event was Let it Snow! Decorating over 400 cupcakes (both minis and regular-sized cupcakes) to match the theme was the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit.

Project Food Blog: Ready, Set, Blog!

When I started my blog almost a year ago, I never thought that I would be participating in a challenge to discover the next food blog star. This first challenge: to define myself as a blogger and make it clear why I have what it takes to be the next food blog star. To answer those questions, I return to why I started this blog in the first place. I wanted to share my passion for food with my son and introduce him to the world beyond the “children’s menu.”

Foodbuzz 24×24: Tapas For a Cure

September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month so for this month’s 24×24 event, Foodbuzz partnered with Electrolux to help raise money for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. In addition to sending money to the 24 selected Featured Publishers to host an event, they matched our event stipend to make a donation of $250 in each of our names to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (that’s a $6,000 donation!). My event, themed Tapas For a Cure, highlighted super foods and cancer-fighting ingredients in a variety of savory and sweet tapas.
