My younger son's 3rd birthday fiesta fell into place at the last minute. His request was a "cow and horse" party. Doing a farm birthday party just didn't seem to fit him and I didn't want to repeat the cowboy theme which I had covered a few months prior with my older son's Cowboy & Ninja Birthday Party. Then, it hit me. His zodiac sign is Taurus - the Bull. El Toro. Perfecto.

Cowboys, ninjas and corndogs. That was my son's 5th birthday party request. For a while, he had sort of a dual personality - cowboy by day and ninja by night. So his birthday party request really did not come as a surprise except for the fact that I never anticipated having to blend horses, cowboys and ninjas into one party.

I guess every birthday these days is a reminder of how fast time is flying by. It's hard to believe our sweet not-so-little-anymore Kendry is two years old. And yet at the same time, the newborn stage of two years ago seems so long ago compared with his giggly, chatty personality who loves and wants to be a part of anything and everything. The Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb theme came together a few months ago when Kendry and I were reading the book one day for the umpteenth time. It's hard not to love the catchy rhythm of the book, and it's definitely one of our family favorites.
