Berry butter takes me back to my childhood, spending summers at the lake. We would have berry butter made with freshly-picked raspberries, strawberries and blackberries. It is colorful, rich, creamy and makes a festive spread for breakfasts and snacks.
Scones are a quick bread of Scottish origin that always make me think of the British tea time. There are variations around the world and you can find scones of many different flavors but in my opinion, you can’t go wrong with a plain buttery scone with berry jam.
These light buttery rolls remind me of brioche. The orange flavor is the perfect combination of sweet and tart. In my family, we have these on Christmas morning and for our Santa Lucia breakfast…but I wish I could eat them every morning!
One of the best parts about this pie (besides the large tender chunks of cinnamon-sugar apple baked under a melt-in-your-mouth streusel topping) is the incredibly easy pat-in-the-pan pie crust. Don’t fuss with rolling out the pie crust; simply mix the dough and press it into the pan.
This sweet, rich custard dessert is surprisingly simple to make. Just be sure to allow time for it to chill overnight.
These gooey brownies are super easy to make. Serve them à la mode for a melt-in-your-mouth dessert.
