Halloween Crackers and Cheese

My older son is almost three and is at the stage where the presentation of the food is almost as important as the food itself.  Needless to say that I have been practicing my art skills in the kitchen.  During a recent experiment where I was trying to paint a picture with ravioli {random, I know} I realized that cutting cheese into shapes actually turns out better.  It is super simple which allows you to make detailed scenes in a matter of minutes.  And it’s perfect because I’ve been trying to find alternate uses for my cookie cutters.

This scene is a very basic example.  The possibilities are endless and either you can serve your kids a completed scene or you can let them create their own.  I served my toddler the pumpkin patch with a full moon and he liked making his own jack-o-lanterns.  The following day he asked for it again!
