If you’re looking for a super simple yet festive beverage for your 4th of July festivities, this Patriotic Punch is just the thing. And it’s one that the kiddos can definitely help make. It is something that you can make for a party or take along while you ride in parades and partake in other 4th of July festivities. Whether it’s scorching hot and a refreshing beverage is desperately needed or if you’re celebrating in cooler temps, the bright colors of the ice stars and the whole punch ensemble will add some fireworks to your celebration. 😉
You can use the juices of your choice. Lemonade was clear enough to appear white to complete the red, white and blue trio. There are many red juices to choose from but blue juice was tricky (blueberry typically looks purple) so we used blue Gatorade, both Cool Blue and Glacier Freeze. Freeze the red and blue juices in star ice molds. Drop the star ice into chilled lemonade or another “white” juice. Serve in a large punch bowl or individual party cups with striped napkins and straws.

- Serve in a large punch bowl or in individual (clear) party cups.
- Garnish with the frozen red and blue ice stars.
