Many store-bought versions of granola are loaded with excess sugar and other unnecessary preservatives and ingredients. But because granola is so easy to make, there really is no reason not to make it at home so that you can control what is in it. This version of granola is full of fiber and other healthy ingredients.
Happy Valentine's Day! For a quick, fiber-filled Valentine's Day breakfast I made bran muffin hearts with my Mini Heart Baking Pan. If you don't have heart pans you can bake part of the muffin batter in a 9x13 pan and cut out hearts with a cookie cutter.
These muffins are a great way to get your family to eat bran and get a dose of fiber without them noticing it. Serve them warm with homemade jam.
