Making your own lemonade is easy and allows you to control how much sugar is in it. You can make a large batch and store it in the refrigerator or make it to order by the glass. The simple sugar syrup can be made in advance and stored in a sealed container in the refrigerator until you are ready to use it.
This rendition of lemonade is tart but you can add more sugar to taste. You can also add strawberry-raspberry purée for homemade strawberry-raspberry lemonade or blueberry purée for homemade blueberry lemonade.

I love making my own lemonade because I can control what goes into it. Have you ever read the labes on powdered lemonade and looked up what the stuff in it really is? There is an additive in the powdered junk that is also used to keep mud from coagulating in oil well sites. Yuck!
Nice variations on the recipe too, using the raspberries and blueberries.
Thanks. That’s a disturbing fact about the additive in powdered lemonade…makes me feel better about making homemade lemonade!! It’s so much better when you know exactly what you are eating!
