This quick and easy brownie recipe came from the back of a Baker’s chocolate box or from an advertisement for Baker’s chocolate. It has been in my family’s recipe box for years.
When I was in high school, I pretty much paid my way to Washington D.C. for a school music trip by baking and selling these deliciously gooey brownies. Dress them up by serving them in bite-sized morsels for a sophisticated cocktail party or dig into them à la mode at a kid’s party. They are sure to be a hit for any crowd!
Ingredients
¾ cup butter
4 squares unsweetened chocolate (I use Baker’s chocolate)
Microwave the chocolate and the butter for 2 minutes until the butter melts. Stir the mixture until the chocolate melts.
Stir in:
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup flour
Pour the brownie batter into a greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake the brownies for 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees. Do not over bake them. Test them at around 20 minutes but they may need to bake for up to 30 minutes. These brownies are best when gooey!

mmm full of chocolate!
How many grams of chocolate would you say that was?
Looks good though!
OK there is absolutely no reason NOT to make these as simple as this recipe is! Thanks for sharing…and I see a grocery stop on my way home from work today. 🙂
There are 113 grams of chocolate in one batch. Hope that helps.
