One-Ingredient Eggnog Ice Cream
Print This Recipe
Just as {one-ingredient} chocolate milk ice cream is an easier and lighter option than a custard-base chocolate ice cream, this one-ingredient eggnog ice cream is much quicker and healthier than homemade eggnog ice cream. In under 30 minutes (or the time it takes to churn the ice cream), you can have a creamy, not-too-sweet frozen treat made with low-fat eggnog. My boys loved the eggnog ice cream at frozen yogurt consistency. You can also freeze it once churned until it hardens to an ice cream texture. {Or you can go crazy and garnish it with a sprinkle of nutmeg for a a two-ingredient ice cream.}
- Low-fat eggnog
- Nutmeg, optional
- Churn the chilled eggnog in your ice cream maker.
- Or, pour in a chilled 9×13 cake pan and place in the freezer for 30 minutes to an hour.
- Then whisk it vigorously in the pan to break up the frozen chunks.
- Return to the freezer and continue the process, whisking every 30 minutes (or when it begins to freeze) until it reaches the texture of soft-serve ice cream.
- Freeze to harden completely like ice cream.
- Sprinkle your scoops of eggnog ice cream with nutmeg if desired.
