Witch Hat Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
Print This Recipe
When I want to play with food but I don’t have time to really be creative, I pull out the cookie cutters and let my four-year old son do the creating. Simply cutting sandwiches (and quesadillas) into different shapes is a fun project for him and it’s an easy way to make a holiday (or any day’s) meal more festive. I also love finding ways to use my cookie cutters for something besides sweets.
Serve these witch hat grilled cheese sandwiches with a cauldron of your favorite soup (like this lentil soup) for a comforting meal before you head out trick or treating. Happy Halloween!

There’s nothing fancy about these sandwiches but my son loves to use cookie cutters and it’s an easy way to make a festive holiday meal.
Ingredients
- Bread
- Cheese
- Witch hat cookie cutter
- Soup
Instructions
- Make a grilled cheese or any other favorite sandwich.
- Use the cookie cutter to cut out the witch hat. I have found that pulling the outside bread off while the cookie cutter is in the sandwich helps make an even edge.
- Serve the sandwiches with the soup of your choice.
