This year we took our Homemade Easter Peeps to a new level by making our own sugar sprinkles with natural dyes. I used the same homemade marshmallow recipe and dusted the bunny cut-outs in homemade {naturally-dyed} sugar sprinkles.

Traditions and customs are plenty when it comes to the King Cake. I made a cake that is more in line with those found in the Southeast United States, centering around the New Orleans Mardi Gras festivities. I used natural food dyes {spinach green, blueberry purple and pineapple gold} to decorate my cinnamon-roll King Cake with the iconic Mardi Gras colors.
