When I saw this "owl egg shaper" on Pinterest I couldn't resist making a version of my own. My oldest son got a hoot out of his breakfast and I loved playing with food to create an easy, edible art snack that doesn’t involve sugary sweets.
Simply layer white (plain or vanilla) yogurt, red berries & fruit, a spoonful of raspberry freezer jam if you want to sweeten your plain Greek yogurt just a bit, and heart-shaped oatmeal pancakes to make a heart healthy breakfast, snack or dessert. And it doubles as an activity: my boys love every opportunity to create with cookie cutters!

My son's 1st train birthday party seems like so long ago now but the edible landscape idea is perfect for back to school and it makes eating healthy snacks fun for your kiddos all year. Depending on the age of your kids, they may even like to help create the scene before eating it!
One morning I was playing around with my son's toast and the next thing I knew it had transformed itself into a train. Spread the train toast with your choice of jams, nut butters, Nutella, etc. Make the train as long as you'd like and fill the train cars with different fruits and other toppings.
Make snowmen out of peanut butter snack balls for an easy, healthy and fun snack that will give your kids the energy they need to play all day in the snow.
Playing with food is not always a bad thing and in this case, it is the perfect way to turn your winter mealtimes into a fun art project {especially when indoor projects to keep your kiddos busy are sorely needed!}. This time around we made Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer pulling a sleigh full of toys.
