Ebleskiver are similar to the American version of pancakes except that they seem to be lighter and fluffier due to the egg whites being beaten into stiff peaks. I like to make an assortment of flavors when I make ebleskiver, leaving some plain and filling the others with a variety of ingredients.
Though peppermint ice cream is often associated with the winter holiday season, it is one of my year-round favorites. (And it's the perfect color for Valentine's Day!)
These coconut macaroon tartlets are one of my favorite desserts for any event. With the addition of blueberries in this rendition, they made it on my Tapas For a Cure menu.
For an easy 4th of July breakfast, top the pancakes of your choice with strawberries, homemade whipped cream and blueberries for a red, white and blue treat.
I have been making these for a long time and they have never let me down. They are bite-sized, refreshing and the perfect combination of sweet, creamy and tart.
I love the coconut macaroon tart shells so much that I decided to fill them with a simple combo of sliced strawberries and homemade whipped cream. They are light, refreshing, and offer an alternative to strawberry shortcake when strawberries are in season.
This strawberries & cream layer cake looks complicated but it is surprisingly simple to make. It is essentially a form of strawberry shortcake presented in layers.
Kick off the summer season with homemade strawberry shortcake. I usually use homemade scones as the base but the two key ingredients, in my opinion, are locally-picked strawberries and homemade whipped cream.
It is so easy to make whipped cream and the result is far superior to the store-bought tub and spray can alternatives. The silky texture and sweet, rich flavor complement pies, hot cocoa, strawberry shortcake, and more! I use the following recipe as a base for my homemade whipped cream but I add other flavors and garnishes to complement different desserts.
