To celebrate Itsy Bitsy Foodies’ 1st Birthday I wanted to make something special: chocolate molten lava cake. I love that though this dessert exudes elegance, it is simple and straightforward to prepare – perfect for special occasions or any long day when you need a decadent pick-me-up.
Valentine’s Day wouldn’t be complete without chocolate and heart-shaped goodies. So I made my quick and easy One-Bowl Brownies in the shape of hearts, served à la mode with a red raspberry coulis.
Happy Valentine’s Day! For a quick, fiber-filled Valentine’s Day breakfast I made bran muffin hearts with my Mini Heart Baking Pan. If you don’t have heart pans you can bake part of the muffin batter in a 9×13 pan and cut out hearts with a cookie cutter.
Love Apples, otherwise known as tomatoes, were once believed to have aphrodisiac powers and were called pommes d’amour in French (literally, apples of love). It is a fitting name for a rich and creamy Valentine’s Day side dish.
Though peppermint ice cream is often associated with the winter holiday season, it is one of my year-round favorites. (And it’s the perfect color for Valentine’s Day!)
These red and white muffins are perfect for Valentine’s Day and a great alternative to all of the chocolate and ultra-sweet treats for which Valentine’s Day is known.
For Valentine’s Day give your someone special heart sugar cookies that are made and decorated with love {and yummy buttercream frosting!}. Your kids can also have fun decorating them for Valentine’s treats.
