I guess every birthday these days is a reminder of how fast time is flying by. It's hard to believe our sweet not-so-little-anymore Kendry is two years old. And yet at the same time, the newborn stage of two years ago seems so long ago compared with his giggly, chatty personality who loves and wants to be a part of anything and everything. The Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb theme came together a few months ago when Kendry and I were reading the book one day for the umpteenth time. It's hard not to love the catchy rhythm of the book, and it's definitely one of our family favorites.

Our now 4-year old has been our little Super Cooper since the day he was born so when he requested a Super Hero 4th birthday party it was a natural choice. The bold colors of red, blue, yellow and green and the high energy of super heroes fit our son perfectly.

The first year flew by even faster the second time around. We celebrated with Trains. I loved the combo of red, white and blues with a simple train icon. My train cake took center stage but I had fun rounding out the spread with other red, white and blue goodies.

Rice Krispie treats are such an easy filler for parties and they are always a crowd-pleaser. To fit the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme, I mixed in some Clubhouse-colored M&M's and cut the marshmallow treats out with a Mickey Mouse cookie cutter.

It's hard to believe that my little Cooper is 3! Three years have sure flown by. To celebrate his birthday we chose the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme because many cartoons come and go but Mickey has been a constant in our household.

As part of a Festival of Trees gala event Itsy Bitsy Foodies donated a cupcake and treat table for a children's birthday party as a premium for one of the auction trees. Aubree, the birthday girl, chose an Ariel theme for her 5th birthday and had a pool party at the public pool.
