When compared to many other muffins, these ones are actually pretty low in butter and sugar. I like making them in miniature because they are bite-sized and easy for my 1 1/2-year old son to eat.

In my most recent batch of these muffins, I added shredded coconut to half of them. The ones with coconut were everyone’s favorites. They remind me of macadamia nut pancakes with coconut syrup and leave me daydreaming of Hawaii.

These banana bars could be the best thing banana that I have ever eaten. They are not too sweet and have a delicate banana flavor. The cream cheese frosting adds a light creamy sweetness and definitely makes them a dessert. But we loved them without frosting, too.

We recently made sliders for dinner. We couldn’t find any mini hamburger buns at the store so I decided to make some. These milk buns made great hamburger buns but you could also form them into other roll shapes. They are slightly sweet but you can reduce the sugar depending on what you will be using them for.

My sister-in-law came up with this idea when she was experimenting with some leftover Easy Pizza Crust dough. It reminds me of the dessert pizza we would order at pizza parlors when I was little but it’s better because you can control how much sugar and butter you add.
