This powdered sugar glaze is a great drizzle for pound cake, hot cross buns, cakes and kransekake, among other things.  It is sweet, light and runnier than most traditional frostings.

This quick and easy glaze is perfect for drizzling the finishing touch on many pastries and desserts.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp milk or water, to consistency
  1. Mix the ingredients together.
  2. Adjust the consistency according to your needs.
  3. TIP: I have never followed a strict recipe but have always made it to consistency. The ratio I have listed above is a general guideline. The icing should be runnier than a traditional buttercream frosting.
