Sweet & Sour Sauce

I don’t know where this recipe came from but it has always been in my family’s recipe collection. It makes a beautiful, shiny glaze for meats and vegetables. My family usually makes sweet and sour meatballs served over quinoa or steamed brown or white rice.
Sweet & Sour Sauce

This sweet & sour sauce makes a beautiful, shiny glaze for meats and vegetables.
Ingredients
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- ½ cup vinegar
- 2 Tbsp cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- Pineapple chunks/green pepper chunks as desired
Instructions
- Mix the ingredients in a medium saucepan.
- Heat the sauce over medium-high heat, stirring it frequently, until the sauce thickens. Add large chunks of pineapple and bell peppers if desired.
