Most kids like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, especially if they are cut into fun shapes. Of course, you can make any flavor of sandwich and cut them into any shape. This is a quick and easy snack for parties, adding some substantial food to the treat table while still sticking to the party theme.
This colorful treat is extremely easy and a great filler to help decorate a party table. You can use any color combo of chocolates to coordinate with your theme and you can use pretzel rods or standard pretzels.
As part of a Festival of Trees gala event Itsy Bitsy Foodies donated a cupcake and treat table for a children’s birthday party as a premium for one of the auction trees. Aubree, the birthday girl, chose an Ariel theme for her 5th birthday and had a pool party at the public pool.
To celebrate Itsy Bitsy Foodies’ 1st Birthday I wanted to make something special: chocolate molten lava cake. I love that though this dessert exudes elegance, it is simple and straightforward to prepare – perfect for special occasions or any long day when you need a decadent pick-me-up.
The Oregon Ducks football team has made it to the BCS National Championship game. I made these cookies to commemorate the special occasion. GO DUCKS!
For my son’s 2nd birthday I made a tower of Sesame Street cupcakes topped with an Elmo cake. Decorated with frosting in bright primary colors the characters were easily identifiable and the kids loved being able to pick out their favorite character.
I recently had the opportunity to create a cupcake display for the 20th Annual Festival of Trees gala event in Port Angeles, Washington, a fundraiser benefiting Olympic Medical Center. The theme of the event was Let it Snow! Decorating over 400 cupcakes (both minis and regular-sized cupcakes) to match the theme was the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit.
Use up leftover candy corn from Halloween by making these rice krispie treats in fun, autumn shapes. The trick to extra gooey treats is using a couple spoonfuls of marshmallow creme.
Halloween is almost here and it wouldn’t be complete without a batch of sugar cookies to decorate in orange and black. Use the spooky shapes of your choice and let your kids join in the fun!
