This combination of apple, cinnamon-sugar and chocolate with vanilla ice cream is a delightfully light and refreshing end-of-the-night treat! I like the tartness of Granny Smith apples paired with the sweetness of the cinnamon-sugar and chocolate syrup but you can use any apple variety.
Similar to crêpes and Swedish pancakes, these Norwegian pancakes are a favorite in my family. They are a fun meal because you can serve them with a smorgasbord of toppings and fillings.
When I lived in France I usually got these with a simple topping of powdered sugar and fresh berry jam. But when I was in the mood for a decadent treat, I ordered them with Nutella.
These asian-inspired meatballs served with sweet & sour sauce are a tasty treat, especially when served over rice. They are a perfect appetizer for a party because they can finish cooking in a slow-cooker while you focus on other elements of the party.
In my family, we always have these cinnamon rolls at least twice a year – on Christmas morning and on Santa Lucia Day. I love to warm the iced cinnamon rolls in the oven right before serving them so that the icing melts into the rolls, making a gooey cinnamon treat!
These dinner rolls are another family tradition for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. The leftover sandwiches on these rolls are one of my favorite parts about the holiday season.
You can’t have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner without pumpkin pie. This standard version is easy to throw together. I use an easy press-in-the-pan pie crust that saves a lot of time compared to the rolled out versions. For a unique way to serve your pumpkin pie, prepare mini pumpkin pies in muffin tins.
These light buttery rolls remind me of brioche. The orange flavor is the perfect combination of sweet and tart. In my family, we have these on Christmas morning and for our Santa Lucia breakfast…but I wish I could eat them every morning!
Canned pumpkin works in a pinch but there is nothing like using homemade pumpkin purée! If you end up with more than you can use, freeze it in 1 or 2 cup quantities for future use.
This rich and cheesy egg dish casserole is one of my family’s favorites. It is almost always a part of our breakfasts and brunches for special occasions (such as Christmas) but it is easy to make for any morning of the year.
