This ginger dipping sauce is an integral part of a home-cooked teppanyaki-style meal. It goes well with many other meats and veggies, too.

I submitted this steak recipe to the Beringer Great Steak Competition. One of the criteria is that the steak has to be prepared and plated in 30 minutes. Following the guidelines of the competition, I paired the steak with the Beringer Founder's Estate Merlot.

I made this African Peanut Stew to celebrate Africa Day yesterday. Variations of the stew can be found throughout West Africa. This version has edamame which offers a healthy dose of protein along with other nutrients but you can also add meat if you would like.

This Asian-inspired dish is extremely easy to make and great for a busy week night. By steaming the fish in foil, you eliminate the chore of cleaning pots and pans.

Lentils are part of the legume family and though they are small they pack a nutritional punch. They are high in protein so are often a staple in vegetarian diets. Lentil dal is an Indian dish made of stewed lentils that is usually seasoned to taste. Serve with rice or naan bread.

Making gyoza is a fun family cooking project. Gyoza is the Japanese version of Jiaozi, the Chinese potsticker. It is a type of dumpling that is typically filled with ground pork but you can also fill them with ground chicken or turkey. You can make the gyoza wrappers from scratch or buy them at the store.

Chicken Tikka Masala

Over the past couple of years we have made Tikka Masala many times in an effort to perfect it. It typically has heavy cream so our goal has been to create a lighter version while matching the restaurant creaminess and flavor. The last time we made this, our fifteen-month old son couldn't get enough of it!

Teriyaki Chicken

This teriyaki chicken is the closest I've come to matching the teriyaki chicken served at our favorite local sushi restaurant. I use my Flank Steak Marinade recipe with the addition of cornstarch or flour to help thicken the sauce into a rich teriyaki glaze.

Crab Melt

Let the whole family help shell the crab. Your mouth will water as you watch the crab being transformed into a cheesy open-faced sandwich. Make them your main course or cut them into small square for appetizers.

Pork Fried Rice (Cha Han)

This version of Cha Han is at the top of my comfort food list. But unlike most comfort foods, it is actually pretty healthy. I like to eat it with grilled scallops or teriyaki chicken.
